Our core mission is to address the lack of AAPI representation in the U.S. mainstream media and celebrate AAPI Heritage month.
Originally launching in May 2017, AAPI BeSpoken partnered with nine colleges, 15 college leads, and 83 students to address the question, "Can you name five AAPI influencers?" We used our love for telling stories and multi-media to highlight 83 AAPI influencers that impacted our life.
In 2020, we are continuing our mission to celebrate AAPI stories and resources. Today, we are asking others the question, "What AAPI resources are you plugged into?"
Through our initiative "Plugged Into," we hope to prompt people to reflect on what they are consuming. Together we can create a collective resource list for others to share and discover new things from our vibrant AAPI community.
